The drivers

Jan Bos

Jan Bos
Name: Jan Bos
Category: 200 meter flying sprint
Jan is especially known from the fact that he was the first Dutch speed skater who became World Champion on the sprint. Although he has shown he is a very good cyclist on an indoor track, he has never trained or competed on a recumbent bike. However, he is used to compete on a high level and his experience as an elite athlete can be of great use in our Human Power Team. Jan recently stopped his speed skating career and he is currently studying at the Johan Cruiff Institute following the course: Master Sport Management. Further, he is training a team of cyclists "Ijsselstreek"

Sebastiaan Bowier

Sebatiaan Bowier

The WR was not broken, but he won the race of 2011 and he obtained the European and Dutch World Record with a speed of 129 km/h (80 mph). During this year’s selection Sebastiaan proved (again) to be the strongest of the contestants. Sebastiaan is an experienced recumbent bike rider, once started on the old recumbent bike of his father. Apart from cycling on a recumbent bike, he is a racing cyclist, mountain biker, wind surfer and he drives a kitebuggy. In short, he is very sportsmanlike! Sebastiaan finished the study Industrial Product Design, he is currently working at BBB as a product designer and his knowledge is well used in the team.
